Women’s Ministry Purpose Statement:

We exist to glorify and worship God by bringing women into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and to provide opportunities for the women of New Hope to grow together spiritually, work together physically, and to fellowship and encourage one another.

             Leadership Team:  Michelle Wilson, Julie Terlouw, Bev Hokkanen, Lucy Klingbiel, and Sue Kealy

 Some of the events that take place during the year: 

• Bridal Showers – held periodically on an as-needed basis.  Showers are pantry themed in which attendees bring a favorite recipe and ingredients to share with the new bride.  Fun activities along with food and a devotional time are included!
• Baby Showers – group baby showers are held approximately every 6 months for all women having their first baby since attending New Hope.  In lieu of bringing individual gifts, a love offering is taken that is then divided among all the new moms.  We have lots of fun that includes food and a devotional time.
• Craft & Chat – held periodically throughout the year in the church commons.  Bring your project – scrapbook, stamping, fiber art, beads, organizing your recipes, whatever project you’re working on and join us we work and enjoy each other’s creativeness and fellowship.
• Christmas Cookie Exchange – each December we gather at someone’s home for an evening of fellowship, devotional time, treats, and an exchange of favorite cookies and recipes.
• Women of Faith Conference – traveling to St. Paul, MN each October for a full weekend to attend this nationally known women’s conference.  www.womenoffaith.com
