Women with a Mission
Our vision is to Engage, Establish, Equip and Expand
- To be included (you belong here)
- To be protected (this is a safe place)
- To receive grace (no one here is perfect)
- To be encouraged (By God’s Word and God’s family)
- To be instructed in wise living (God’s Word is our lifeline)
- To be mentored, nurtured, and nourished in love (older and younger women together)
We will be doing an 11-week Bible study on the Book of James titled “James: Living a Life of Genuine Faith” by Jen Wilkin. There is no video teaching by the author with this study. However, Jen Wilkin has an excellent audio teaching series that accompanies this study that you can listen to on your own since we do not plan to ‘broadcast’ the audio during our class time. We will provide the audio information at our first meeting.
Study guides: We will be providing a workbook to everyone at no cost! Please let Michelle Wilson know by September 7th if you plan to join one of our groups and let her know if you’ll be attending Monday night or Tuesday morning. We want to make sure we have enough materials for everyone. The materials will not be bound so you may want to get yourself a one inch 3-ring binder.
We will also be giving everyone a copy of Jen Wilkin’s book titled Women in the Word: How to Study the Bible with Both our Hearts and our Minds. This book will be used as a supplemental resource to enhance our study skills.
Childcare – Tuesday morning study: We have two women who have made the commitment to provide weekly childcare, but we would love to have a few substitute names in case a need arises. If you are interested and available to sub, please contact Amanda Young. If you’re in need of childcare on Tuesday mornings, contact Amanda and let her know how many kids and their ages.
We are excited to join back together in studying the scriptures in the fall!
